REPAVING THE ASPHALT

In order to resurface an asphalt surface, a new layer of asphalt must be added above the existing one. In as little as a few hours, our team can turn a faded, cracked surface into a shiny, new black flat surface. The process begins with an inspection and surface preparation. Our team may have to remove existing asphalt and replace it with a new layer if the foundation has shifted or become unstable. As a reputable blacktop paving company, our team provides customers with a detailed description of the work needed, along with an honest estimate and timeline for completion. For a long-lasting asphalt surface, we recommend our residential and commercial seal coating services.

How soon should I start worrying about protecting my asphalt? Pavement repair, re-paving, and seal coating often come with many questions from customers. When properly maintained (including applying a seal coat every two or three years), asphalt surfaces can last up to 25 years. During this time, the asphalt may crack, deteriorate, chip and fade. While we provide top-notch driveway and parking lot repair services, we typically recommend repaving when filling in large cracks and crevices is no longer effective.

RESTORATIVE MAINTENANCE FOR ASPHALT SURFACES

Pavement maintenance services are performed on the surface layers of asphalt to both rehabilitate deteriorated asphalt and protect it from water penetration, oxidation, and UV damage.

In seal coating, a specially mixed asphalt product is sprayed over the top of the worn pavement to restore it, while also adding a layer of protection against water, wear, and UV rays. A slurry seal is similar to a seal coating, but the pavement product is thicker, creating a deeper new surface layer. Crushed rock chips are applied to create a new surface with superior traction, with a liquid coating applied on top.

  • ASPHALT RESURFACING — In the event that your parking lot or driveway has large patches of deteriorated asphalt, you may want to consider resurfacing or replacement.
  • ASPHALT MILLING & OVERLAY — The top layer of asphalt is removed by specialized paving equipment, leaving a textured surface that's more likely to bond to the new top layer.
  • ASPHALT REPAVING — Milling equipment removes asphalt at a lower depth than an overlay repair; the gravel base is repaired before a new layer of asphalt is applied.
